Hank's is the ultimate dive. It's close to the Staples Center, so if you want to get a drink before/after the game or concert, you gotta hit Hanks. It's a hole in the wall dive bar, hidden in the lobby of the Hotel Stillwell on Grand (between 8th & 9th Street). The place was opened up by a guy named Hank, who passed away back 1988. But, the place still has photos of him up on the walls.

The bartenders are quick, heavy-handed and very nice. The crowd (looks a bit shady) but they're all good folks! This is the bar you want to come to when you know it's gonna be a rough night. No one will judge you. No one cares. Just make sure you have someone to hold your hair back.
